Meet Marley! This wonderful boy is a 6-month-old Labrador with the typical energy and enthusiasm of a young dog. As he is young, this means he is still learning about the world around him. He is curious, but also a little unsure of new experiences. His adopters should be patient and encouraging enough to help him build his confidence. Marley is a very friendly boy and will be able to live with slightly older children (8+) who don’t mind dogs that might jump up to say hello! He can also live with another suitable dog in his new home after a successful meet. He loves to play with his doggy friends here at the Rehoming Centre! Marley is not used to being left alone yet, so his adopter will need to be able to be at home with him to begin with. Once he is settled, leaving time should be able to be built up.

If you would like a best friend who is always ready to play, then Marley might be the one for you! This boy loves to engage with toys and join people in whatever fun activity they are up to. Marley is a big foodie too, and does a fantastic ‘Sit’ in exchange for a treat. This motivation for food will be a great help in Marley’s ongoing training. With adopters that are willing to give him the time to learn, there is no doubt that Marley will make a fantastic companion! View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
