Description

Bear's ideal home

Bear is a total angel boy who has stolen our hearts! This 7 year old Shar Pei x Lab is a sweetheart who enjoys meeting new faces and snuggling up for a good snooze. He can socialise with other dogs on his walks, but would prefer to be the only dog in the home at the moment. This lovely lad has had some ongoing medical issues that has resulted in the loss of his hearing, but our veterinary department can discuss this in more detail with his adopters. Bear would love to have direct access into a garden with a 5ft (minimum) fence to keep him safe but he could share his garden with others, but we do recommend keeping him on lead whilst he's out and about due to his deafness.

Could you be Bear's perfect match?

This handsome guy is looking to have someone who is around all day as he does find being left home alone overwhelming. He can be quite a strong fella on the lead, so will need someone who can physically manage him, but he does walk beautifully most of the time. Brilliant big Bear is looking to be the only pet in the home and is able to live with children aged around 12 years and over. He is currently in a foster home whilst he looks for his forever home.

Labrador Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Labrador Retriever.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
