Description

Hero's ideal home

Hero is looking for a calm, predictable home with a family who are willing to help build his confidence. He can be a little worried by new people so would be best suited to a home with children aged 14 years and over who can give him the space and quiet time he needs. Hero can live in a home with another playful but polite dog, but can also be the only dog in the home. He cannot live with cats and other small furries, he would happily have some doggy walking buddies to socialise with. Hero knows his basic training, he will need a refresher on his housetraining so regular access to a private, secure garden is necessary for him to potter and play in. He will be able to be left for short amounts of time on his own, but this should be introduced gradually after a settling in period. Hero can be a little worried when meeting new people so a home with minimal visitors when he is first at home would be best to help him settle in. Hero will need to meet his adopters multiple times times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. If you rent your property from a private landlord, please have written permission ready once you have submitted your application to avoid delays, as it will be required early on in the rehoming process if you are shortlisted. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes between 7 - 10 days.

Could you be Hero's perfect match?

Hero is a sweet, sensitive 2 year old Shar Pei Labrador cross who once he has a relationship with you, he will be your best friend. Hero likes nothing more than a gentle stroll in quiet walking areas followed by fusses and cuddles, leaning in for more. He loves playing with squeaky toys, bouncing around and running after them. Hero is such a loveable boy who will bring lots of love to a very lucky home.

Labrador Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Labrador Retriever.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
