Description

Jeffrey's ideal home

Jeffery is a ten-month-old Lab cross looking for a loving home with adopters who will give him encouragement, confidence and praise. He is a nervous young lad who gains confidence from other dogs and is therefore looking for a home where he can live with a calm, confident dog. Jeffrey could share his home with teenage children and is looking for a home without cats or small furries. We have no history of him around livestock. Jeffery has never lived in a home before, and adopters are required to be patient and understanding to help Jeffery adjust using positive reward training. Time left alone will need to be built up gradually. Jeffery is worried by traffic and is seeking a quiet home environment with access to walks away from the road.

Could you be Jeffrey's perfect match?

Jeffery loves to sniff and explore outdoor areas. He enjoys going for walks and joining other dogs. He likes to play with toys and is currently playing independently, he may not know how to interact with toys with people. He is a blank canvas when it comes to basic training and once, he has a bond with someone he would enjoy learning tricks with positive reward training. Jeffery is wary of the unknown and new people and will approach and initiate a fuss when he is ready. He has a very affectionate nature once he has a bond with you however he appreciates you going slow, on his terms whilst he figures out the world around him. Jeffery has great potential to thrive and make someone’s best friend with the right setup, time, commitment and patience.

Labrador Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Labrador Retriever.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
