Description

Mocha's ideal home

Mocha is a 2 year old Labrador X. She has walked on lead with dogs at the centre but is a little underconfident in her interactions and so would like to be the only dog in the home and to have doggy friends outside of the home to socialise with to build her confidence. Mocha can be worried by loud noises and sudden movements but is a friendly girl and could live with children of secondary school age who can appreciate this and are comfortable around a dog that may jump up when excited. Once settled, Mocha could be built up to being left for short periods of time. Mocha would benefit from a secure garden with fencing 5ft + due to her ability to jump quite high. She is a friendly girl and this could be a communal garden providing any interactions with other dogs using the space are managed and carried out in a positive way to help build her confidence and socialisation skills.

Could you be Mocha's perfect match?

Mocha is a delightful girl who enjoys being with people and having a cuddle and a fuss. She is still young and can be excitable and would love a fairly active home that can take her on interesting walks and have fun playing games with her. She is a real foodie and would enjoy learning some new tricks, she already knows "Sit" "Paw" and "Touch". Mocha would benefit from building her confidence around other dogs once settled as she can be unsure around dog interactions and will often hide behind her handler.

You can also add up to four favourites to your application to give us an idea of the dogs you like, so we can consider you for similar dogs. Once you’ve submitted your application, we can’t change or update your favourites. Adding a dog to your application is not a reservation but a guide for us to find you a match.

Labrador Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Labrador Retriever.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
