Remy's ideal home

Remy is looking for an active home with loving adopters who will take him on fun adventures and keen to get involved with some training to engage his brain! He can live with children aged 12 years and over who are comfortable will a young clumsy lad, will play nicely with him and can read when he may need some space. Remy can be a little conflicted around other dogs, and doesn’t always know how to read the room, so would need to be the only pet in his home, but he would be happy with tolerant & polite walking buddies. Remy cannot live with cats or other small furries. Remy has some training already under his belt; he does a lovely sit, paw, down and touch, and walks well on the lead. He is a very foodie young lad and is super keen to learn something new if a tasty treat is on offer! He has been housetrained but may need a refresher in his new home, so a private and secure garden is needed. Remy could be left for up to 2 hours, but this should be built up gradually once he has had time to settle in. Remy will need to meet his adopters a few times prior to going home so please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 – 10 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet her within 48hrs of being shortlisted.

Could you be Remy's perfect match?

Brainy and handsome boy Remy is a 1 year old Labrador cross Staffordshire Bull Terrier, who despite being a little worried at times with new people, has a heart of gold. He is super inquisitive about the world around him and loves an adventure! The key to his heart is a tasty treat and absolutely loves a good bum scratch once he knows you, so you’ll be his best friend for life if there’s food involved!

Labrador Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Labrador Retriever.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
