Description

Poppy's ideal home

Poppy is a 3-year-old Labrador Retriever who is full of beans and always ready for fun. She is looking for an active and experienced owner who can match her enthusiasm for life. She thrives in a home where she will receive plenty of exercise, engagement, and training, making her best suited to someone who enjoys structured walks, interactive play, and ongoing training sessions.
She would love a secure, direct-access garden where she can run and explore to her hearts content. Poppy is best suited to owners who are confident handling strong, energetic dogs and can provide ongoing lead training to help refine her walking manners. She would do well with someone who enjoys structured activities, as she is highly trainable and eager to learn.
Poppy could potentially live with a calm, social dog after successful introductions. Due to her playful and bouncy nature, she would be best suited to a home without young children, though she would be happy with visiting older children who are comfortable around dogs. Although Poppy has lived with cats before, her playful and energetic nature may be overwhelming for many feline companions. To ensure a harmonious environment, she would be best suited to a cat-free home. She is looking for a family who will embrace her lively spirit, provide plenty of enrichment, and enjoy all the fun and affection she has to offer.

Could you be Poppy's perfect match?

Poppy is a bright, affectionate, and playful Labrador Retriever who is always ready for an adventure. Full of energy and eager to explore, she is happiest when out on a walk, playing fetch, or engaging in fun activities with her family. She’s a social butterfly, greeting both people and dogs with excitement while remaining friendly and polite. Once she has burned off some energy, she settles well and enjoys relaxing with her favourite humans.
She is a quick learner who thrives on mental stimulation and loves training, especially when treats are involved! Poppy already knows some basic commands and is eager to expand her skills. As an energetic dog, she would benefit from ongoing lead training, as she can be strong and enthusiastic on walks. With consistent guidance and positive reinforcement, she will become a fantastic walking companion.
At home, Poppy is fully housetrained and is respectful of household boundaries. She settles well when left alone for short periods and is happy pottering around or resting when her family is busy. She could potentially live with a calm, social dog after proper introductions and would do well in a home that enjoys her playful, fun-loving nature.
With plenty of exercise, training, and love, Poppy will make a wonderful, affectionate, and devoted companion for an owner who is ready to embrace her adventurous spirit and bring out the best in this lively, loving girl.

Labrador Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Labrador Retriever.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
