Description

Diana's ideal home

Diana is looking for a home with minimal visitors, especially to begin with, with adopters who will be patient and understand that it will take time for her to settle in and feel safe in her new home. She is looking for a home in a more rural area or adopters who can take her to quieter walking areas, so she can explore and sniff at her leisure. She can live with children aged 16 years and over who can read when she is uncomfortable and give her space when she needs it. Diana can be worried around other dogs, so is looking to be the only pet in the home, although she could have calm and polite walking buddies who will give her the space she needs, to help her build confidence around other dogs. Diana has a little training under her belt, she does a lovely “sit” and “paw”, she is very willing to concentrate and learn for a tasty treat, she will need a refresher on her house training. A home with a private, secure garden with 6 foot fencing is essential as she does not always feel comfortable enough to toilet on walks. Diana may be able to be left alone for up to 1-2 hours, but this should be introduced slowly once she has had time to get used to her new home and routine and would ideally be after a walk so she can relax and have a snooze! Diana will need to meet her adopters multiple times prior to going home and may need home visits so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 – 10 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet him within 48hrs of being shortlisted.

Could you be Diana's perfect match?

Lovely Diana is a 2 and a half year old Labrador cross Staffy, who is a fun loving lady who loves to play. Once she gets to know you Diana quite likes a fuss, she will sit on your lap and lean in for more. Diana is a foodie girl who likes her treats, she’s not fussy on the type of treat and takes them gently from the hand. She loves her toys, when she has a toy she turns into Tigger, jumping and hopping around and pouncing on them. This sweet girl is looking for a family to love and care for her.

Labrador Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Labrador Retriever.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
