Description

Red's ideal home

Red is a playful and handsome 3-and-a-half-year-old Labrador Retriever full of energy and enthusiasm. He is looking for a home where he will be the only dog, although he can have friends out and about. Red could live with children of 8 and above and we are open to considering younger children who are comfortable around bouncy dogs.
Red is not used to being left on his own, so his new family will need to have minimal leaving hours and be around for most of the day to keep him company. Ideally he would love plenty of opportunities for play and sniffing adventures with patient owners who can manage his strength on the lead.

Could you be Red's perfect match?

If you are looking for a fun and friendly buddy, Red could be the one. Red likes his daily walks, where he can explore new smells to his heart's content. He is calm around traffic although when it comes to travelling in the car, he can get car-sick on long journeys. Red absolutely loves his toys, whether it is chasing them in a game of fetch or bringing them to you when he wants you to play. He also enjoys being brushed, which is a wonderful way to bond with him. This wriggly, affectionate lad thrives on being with people when he can steal a sneaky cuddle. Baths may not be Red's favourite, but his lovable personality more than makes up for it. He knows “sit” and “paw” and is housetrained, making him ready to settle into home life.
If you are looking for a loyal and lively dog who will keep you on your toes, Red is ready to meet you!

Labrador Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Labrador Retriever.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
