Description

Lucy's ideal home

Lucy is looking for a home with adopters who can take her on lots of fun adventures and give her all the love she deserves. She can live with children aged 8 years and over who will play with her nicely and understand when she needs a break and will leave her to rest when needed. Lucy could live with another calm and relaxed dog who will happily coexist with her. She cannot live with cats or other small furries. Lucy has some training under her belt, she does a lovely “Sit”, “Paw” and “Down”, she is keen to learn more and is very foody so will concentrate for a tasty treat. She is fully housetrained, but will likely need a refresher in her new home so access to a secure garden is needed. Lucy may be able to be left alone for up to 2 hours once settled in but this should be introduced slowly once she has had time to get used to her new home and routine and would ideally be after a walk so she can relax and have a snooze! Lucy is on a special diet, adopters will need to bear this in mind when applying. She will need to meet her adopters a few times prior to going home. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet her within 48hrs of being shortlisted.

Could you be Lucy's perfect match?

Bubbly and adventurous Lucy is a 6 year old Labrador with a heart of gold. She loves to play, she likes soft toys, ropes and will happily chase a tennis ball around. True to her breed, Lucy is very foody, she loves water and would happily swim all day if you let her. She is an absolute angel who wants nothing more than to snuggle up next to you on the sofa, and loves a good neck scratch. If you stop fussing her, she will nudge you to carry on. This gorgeous girl is ready to find her new family.

Labrador Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Labrador Retriever.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
