Rex's ideal home
Rex is a handsome Labrador cross, aged 11. He’s an affectionate chap who loves nothing more than spending quality time with his favourite humans, and is seeking a relaxing retirement home, where he could enjoy plenty of fuss and attention. Rex has had a complex past, so his adopters should be patient with him, and understand that it could take him a while to feel fully settled into his new environment. Due to a lack of history on Rex’s experience with children, as well as his tendency to be ‘snatchy’ with food, we feel he would best be suited to a home where the youngest family members are in their later teens. Rex doesn’t mind walking where other dogs are in the distance but isn’t keen when they come too close. He’ll need to be the only pet at home and isn’t likely to cope well in doggy-popular areas like parks at busy times, or dog-friendly cafes. A garden of his own would be preferred.
Could you be Rex's perfect match?
Rex absolutely LOVES his food but prefers to enjoy his meals and chews without being disturbed. It is advised to feed him in a separate area, where he can relax with his grub. Equally, Rex may try his best to scavenge for food, so it’s important to lock up any food items away, and ensure the bins are secure from his prying paws! Despite being an older boy, Rex does still enjoy his walks and keeping active, as well as playing with his toys. He especially likes a tennis ball and will often take one to bed with him to settle down with.
